We value your time. You will be pleased to find that we will generally see you right at the appointed time. We will make every effort to complete your treatment in as few visits as possible. In order for us to be efficient with the time that we have scheduled for you, we would ask that you also be prompt and always give 48 hours notice if you are unable to keep an appointment so that other patients on our waiting list may be served.
Your first visit is a good opportunity for us to get acquainted. After discussing your concerns and goals, we will do a thorough tooth-by-tooth, soft-tissue and periodontal (gum) examination. With your permission, digital x-rays may be made to help us diagnose your current dental health. The use of special high-tech intraoral video cameras will also be used so that you can directly visualize your present dental condition. Study models or impressions of your teeth may also be made to help plan future dental treatment.
After your initial visit, you and Dr. Sawchuk will schedule a consultation appointment to review his findings and recommend a plan of treatment to achieve your objectives. A treatment and financial schedule will be arranged at this time.
Your health and welfare are important to us. We take every necessary step to safeguard your health every time you come into our office.
We are in strict compliance with all state and federal regulations to meet or exceed all standards regarding infection control procedures. We always wear gloves, masks, protective eyewear, clinical gowns and use disposable plastic wraps to ensure your safety. We also follow the most up-to-date rigorous cleaning, disinfection and sterilization protocol.
If you have any questions about our infection control procedures, please ask us. We'll be happy to tell you more about the steps we take to protect you.
When taking x-rays, we always place an approved apron over our patients for added protection. With our new digital x-ray system, the exposure to our patients is a small fraction of the exposure when compared with the older "film" type of x-rays.
